Friends of Overlook Hospital are caring members of our communities who are committed to making a profound impact on the delivery of health care for their families, friends and neighbors. The Overlook Hospital Foundation established the Friends of Overlook Hospital to:

• Express Overlook Hospital Foundation's heartfelt appreciation to its major donors.

• Publicly recognize the generosity of the Foundation's donors for making a meaningful contribution to the community's quality of life.

• Underscore the critical and ongoing importance of private philanthropy to the advancement of medicine and patient care.

• Keep members well informed about Overlook Hospital's services and long-range plans, as well as state and national issues related to health care.

• Generate ongoing annual leadership support for The Overlook Hospital Foundation's efforts to help renovate, equip and enhance health services and programs at Overlook Hospital.

Annual donors of $100 or more are considered Friends and receive membership benefits according to several donor categories:

Special Friend $100-$249 per year

Overlook Club $250-$499 per year

Foundation Associate $500-$999 per year

Member Benefits:

Friends of Overlook Hospital will receive invitations to the MacKechnie Lecture, Foundation seminars and Community Day, an annual program and tour of Overlook Hospital facilities. Friends also receive Overlook Hospital publications such as the Annual Report and Foundation newsletters. Friends of Overlook who $500 or more annually will have their names published in the Honor Roll of the Foundation Annual Report.

Overlook Leadership Circle

Friends who give $1,000 or more are invited to join the Overlook Leadership Circle through their membership in the following gift categories:

Benefactor $1,000-$2,499 per year

Chairman's Circle $2,500-$4,999 per year

Heinlein Society $5,000-$9,999 per year

Lawrence Society $10,000 and over per year

Friends of Overlook who join the Overlook Leadership Circle receive the following member benefits:

• Invitation to the Leadership Reception where senior attending physicians discuss the latest medical advances

• Participation in the Courtesy Plus Program should a member be hospitalized. Inpatient benefits include:

  • Complimentary Flower Arrangement

  • Complimentary Television Service

  • Complimentary Daily Newspaper

  • Complimentary Parking

  • Daily Visit with a Foundation Representative

• Invitations to all Overlook Hospital Special Events.

• Recognition in the Honor Roll of the Overlook Hospital Foundation Annual Report.

• Prominent recognition on the Friends of Overlook Annual Donor Wall, which is displayed adjacent to the lobby of the Hospital.

• Listing on the Recognition Wall in the Overlook Hospital Lobby for cumulative giving of $25,000 or more.

Society Member Benefits

Heinlein and Lawrence Society members also receive:

• An invitation to the "President's Forum," a year-end informational session with the President of Overlook Hospital.

• Preferred parking and Courtesy Plus benefits when a spouse, parent or child is hospitalized.

Lawrence Society members also receive:

• An invitation to the Annual Founders Day Reception in the fall and the Foundation Dinner and Annual Board Meeting in the Spring.

• Complimentary gourmet meals if they are hospitalized at Overlook.
