Among the 175 golfers who played in last year’s outing at Canoe Brook were: Rich Harte and Jim Andersen from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, along with Atlantic Health’s Joe Trunfio, president and chief executive, and Linda Reed, vice president, information systems and chief information officer.
On Monday, June 11th, Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit will again host the Overlook Foundation Golf Tournament, now in its 22nd year. Sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the event will benefit Patient Support Programs at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Overlook.
Come early to hit some balls at the driving range before settling in for a buffet lunch on the club’s patio. Then it’s on to one of Canoe Brook’s two renowned championship courses, where several luxury automobiles await any lucky golfer who sinks a hole-in-one. That evening, at the awards dinner, attendees can bid on a number of tempting silent auction packages that include vacations and rounds of golf at some of the area’s most prestigious courses.
A generous lineup of golf prizes is awarded to the top half of registered foursomes with the lowest net scores, as well individuals with the longest drive and closest to the pin. In addition, the Anthony F. Coppola, MD Memorial Award is presented annually to the golfer with the lowest individual gross score.
